NRG FUEL HELP RAISE £1K FOR WHEELCHAIR MARATHON HOPEFUL

NRG FUEL have been proud to sponsor a team of Gedling Fitness Advisors who have raised nearly £1,000 in a ‘row-a-thon’ at this years Gedling Show, to help local gym user achieve her dream.

Stella Goodman, 72, from Carlton, suffers from Spinabifida and relies on a wheelchair to get around. She regularly trains at her local gym to stay fit and healthy and prepare for her ultimate goal, to complete a full marathon.

Stella has already completed two half marathons and a number of 10k races over the last two years but to complete the full marathon she will need a racing wheelchair. Now thanks to a team of Leisure staff and NRG FUEL, she is half way towards getting her £2000 chair.

The team of 11 members of staff reached a distance of just under 400,000 metres and NRG FUEL Buzzin and Water was on hand to keep the team fully energized and well hydrated throughout a gruelling 12 hours of rowing.
